Portraits: Pets and People These are a few examples of some of the portraits of both animals and of people that I have done on commission, as well as for simply the pleasure of painting the subject. The inspiration may have been in the composition, the light, or the spirit and sensitivity of the moment. For information about commissions and prices, please contact me. I will be happy to discuss all particulars and look at as many photographs that you may want to consider and discuss for a possible portrait.
Watercolor Sketches Make your favorite photo into a work of art! Watercolor sketches can be done showing your backyard, your home, your pets, a fabulous bouquet of flowers you want to remember, or even a favorite childhood toy!
Painted Ceramic Tiles This collection is representative of several different possible themes for commissioned painted ceramic tiles. The tiles can also be special ordered with specific animals or designs. The sizes range from one single framed tile to any specific size, and can be framed or used as a wall mural.
Color Facets This new group of paintings explores the world of color relationships and simplified light faceted subjects. My intentions were to represent the joy of color!
Abstract Impressions This group of paintings reflects my desire through color and texture, to represent a mood rather than a specific image or figure. It is a movement away from the physical world into the more spiritual aspects that color can inspire.
Pastels This group is also a figurative collection. I am primarily working with light and color which pastels can capture rapidly. They always lend an element of spontaneity that is more difficult to achieve in oils. They represent my series called Wonderful Creatures, of which there are also 6 painted ceramic tiles that are part of this group of works.
Light and Shadow Figuratives This group reflects my interest in capturing the light and the nature of the subject that has produced the inspiration for the painting. Here I am primarily interested in color and the mood that the subject brings to mind.
